I didn’t forget, Atari v. Nintendo wasn’t a direct console war. The two had a bit of a peaceful co-existence, though Nintendo invariably dominated with the superior platform (and the introduction of the fairly meaningless “Nintendo Seal of Approval.)

I don’t think YouTube dissent was a direct cause of the failure of the WiiU, so much as the fact that it simply failed to be marketed properly to the Wii base. Several consumer reports indicate that parents whose children wanted a WiiU couldn’t differentiate between the two systems, causing them to simply buy a cheaper Wii.

And if Mobile Gaming is the peasant class, why would they even warrant a mention?
